- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- 1. First, some info about this music-compilation
-
- This archive has been split into 4 disks, for people without HD,
- and works on both KickStart 1.2, 1.3 and 2.04 !!! (Be Happy!)
- - If you want the one-parted LHA archive, send a disk or try
- calling the E-Mail node listed in the bottom of this doc.
-
- This compilation uses PLAYSID v2.0b, and if there is a newer version,
- please send it to me! (someone?)
-
- I have avoided to convert music that is allready converted.
- (to my knowledge)
-
- There is currently 249 musics in this archive!
-
- * If you have converted some C64 music too, please send it to me!
-
-
- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- 2. Then, some info about the music
-
- I was a very active coder/hacker/musician on the C64 from 1985 to 1989,
- and I can't really say that I got much new stuff since then,
- so these tunes are all from that period.
-
- Some of my own music is here, if you can remember them,
- well, then you must be a real C64 freak! (how many of us are left?)
-
- This compilation contains music from BOGG, Laxity, Ben Daglish,
- Johannes Bjerregård, Red, Rob Hubbard, Martin Galway and others.
- + all the music from "Master Composer", which is from 1985.
-
- Among the Master Composer tunes, is Star Wars, Star Trek and
- Superman - the only versions I have ever seen.
-
- Don't forget to check out the "Cyborg" game tune, it is a
- conversion of the "Battlestar Galactica" movie theme.
-
- Also don't forget to check out the music from LAXITY, who is one
- of my favourite musicians.
- He's one of those who have made the most tunes, all in all I
- have 60 !!! tunes made by him. (I also only have 60 ROB HUBBARD!!!)
-
- {
- In the directory "Unknown" directory, there is a music called
- "MUSICGEN 85", which I ripped from an old Basic-program
- called "Syntetisk Musik Generator". (Synth Sample)
-
- The tunes in this pack are all conversions of original 'real' work:
-
- 1. Theme from "Stationary Ark"
- 2. "Saturdays in Silezia"
- 3. "Spiral" (Vangelis)
- 4. "Tubular Bells" (Oldfield)
- 5. Closing Theme from "Magic Shadows"
- 6. Theme from "Clockwork Orange" (Carlos)
- 7. "Oxygene 2" (Jarre)
- 8. "Canon" (Pachelbel)
- 9. "Enola Gay" (O.M.D)
-
- Just listen to this music!, it's from 1985 !!!, and I still wonder
- who could have done it !? - Do you know ?
- }
-
-
- * NOTE about "Metal Bar II", and other tunes that was made by Demon:
- It takes up ALL CPU TIME !!!, so for a NON-painful exit of it,
- place the mouse over the STOP gadget, as soon as you enter it.
- (you will NOT be able to move you mouse around normally!)
-
- Stopping the tune, may take 15 SECONDS !!!
-
-
- Well well, before I get nostalgic (again!?), let me just say that
- as you go thru the tunes, there will be some who act/sound weird!!!
-
- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- 3. And Then, some last words about RIPP OFF, Composers, PLAYSID,
- Music in general, and myself
-
-
- * RIPP OFF:
-
- This is the end, but I still have loads of c64-music to convert,
- future releases are under development!
-
- I know that Rip is not spelled Ripp, but that's the way we used
- to write when we made "TST-RIPP #1-10".
-
- If you want some music converted, but you can't rip it, then send me
- the game/demo and I will convert it as quick as possible.
-
- This compilation took 3.5 Months to construct!
